    Declaring heart conditions

    Declaring angioplasty

What type of procedure do you select when declaring angioplasty as there are various ones that are similar? Including Angioplasty, balloon angioplasty and coronary angioplasty.

Declaring either angioplasty or balloon angioplasty will steer you to a question which asks where in the body the angioplasty was performed –  Heart (Coronary Angioplasty), Leg or Groin, Kidney or Neck.

Please select as appropriate and answer the remaining follow on questions as normal.

    Coronary stent

If you have had coronary stents, then you would need to declare your condition, not the treatment for it.

For example, if the coronary stents were as a result of coronary heart disease, you would declare ‘Coronary heart disease’.

    Cardiac arrest

Please declare the diagnosed medical condition which caused your cardiac arrest. For example, it can be caused by Arrhythmia.

If you are unsure of your diagnosis, please speak with your doctor for confirmation.

    Pacemaker

Please declare the diagnosed medical condition for which you pacemaker is used to treat. For example, it can be used to treat Arrhythmia.

If you are unsure of your diagnosis, please speak with your doctor for confirmation.
