    What cover you can receive

    What is a terminal prognosis?

A terminal prognosis can be defined as the following: the opinion of your doctor or consultant that a disease cannot be cured or adequately treated, to the extent that it is predicted to cause a shortened life expectancy.

Providing a medical practitioner can confirm that you, or the person affected, are fit to travel; that a transport carrier is prepared to take you; and that your prognosis is not less than six months from the return date of travel, you may still be able to get cover.

You will need to declare that you have a terminal prognosis at the medical warranty stage of the quote process. You will then be asked to call our dedicated helpline on  +61 2 9333 3923 – where you’ll be asked some further questions, to make sure you’re offered cover that is suitable for your needs.
