When should you contact our Emergency Assistance team?

If you’re an AllClear customer and something unexpected happens during your trip, give us a call straight away. The sooner you contact us, the faster we can help guide your care and support your claim.

Please call us if you or someone on your policy:

  • Suffers a sudden illness or serious injury
  • Is involved in an accident
  • Requires hospitalisation
  • Has medical costs likely to exceed $2,000
  • Is treated as an outpatient
  • Is stranded overseas or injured due to a natural disaster or severe weather

Have the following info ready

We want to help you as quickly as possible. So when you call us, please have the following information at hand.

  • Your AllClear Travel Insurance policy number
  • A clear description of the nature of your emergency
  • The phone number at your current location

Do I need to contact you before getting treatment?

If it’s an emergency, get treatment straight away – your health comes first. Once you're safe, contact us as soon as you can. We’re here to support your care and guide you through the claims process.

Is domestic travel included in 24/7 Emergency Assistance?

Yes. Our Emergency Assistance is here for you on every trip covered by your AllClear policy – for both domestic and international travel.

What happens if I can’t speak the local language at the hospital?

Don’t worry – our Emergency Assistance team can speak directly with doctors or hospital staff on your behalf. We’ll help coordinate your care and make sure everything’s clearly understood.

Can you arrange for my return home if I’m too unwell to travel?

Yes. If medically necessary and approved by our team, we can arrange repatriation to Australia – including medical escorts or air ambulance support, depending on your condition and policy cover.

Is there a time limit for contacting Emergency Assistance?

It’s always best to contact us as soon as you can. Delays in notifying us may impact how we can assist or how your claim is assessed, especially for large medical expenses.
